Vice President, Finance
Scott Schoedler is Vice President of Finance of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund, a private nonprofit foundation established to advance the medical sciences by supporting research and other scientific and educational activities. The Fund, headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, has current assets totaling $760 million. Mr. Schoedler has responsibility for all financial aspects of the Fund’s operation. This includes oversight of the Fund’s investment program, as well as accounting, insurance, and benefits administration.
Mr. Schoedler came to the Burroughs Wellcome Fund from the Rockefeller Foundation in New York, where he was Senior Asset Manager, Marketable Securities for the Foundation’s $2.2 billion endowment. His prior financial experiences include stints at Unisys Corporation and NCR Corporation. He has a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from Duke University.
