The Program Officer will be responsible for developing, executing, managing, and evaluating competitive award programs and ad hoc activities within two areas: Interfaces in Science and Regulatory Science. The Interfaces in Science program seeks to encourage physical, computational, mathematical, chemical, engineering, and others approaches to solve biological questions. The Innovations in Regulatory Science program seeks to advance novel mechanisms to accelerate the regulatory process, thus bringing discoveries into clinical practice in a more timely fashion. The position requires the ability to develop and maintain relationships with awardees, scientific advisory committees, board members, BWF staff, appropriate biomedical societies and institutions, and the willingness to travel on behalf of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund.
