Are you an early stage scientist trying to get your research noticed? Watch this primer on how to make communications an integral part of your lab strategy.
You’ve landed a job. You have a lab and a bit of funding. You might even have a grad student or two helping you actually do the research. But, what do you do once you have publishable results? What about generally letting people know about the work you do? Communicating with other scientists and the public is just as important as doing research when it comes to growing your lab. And, if you prepare ahead of time by building a communications plan, communications requirements won’t catch you by surprise.
The intent of this video is to help you to start thinking about the many communications options that are available to you as you develop your research and lab philosophy. Produced by The Burroughs Wellcome Fund in partnership with Dr. Kiki Sanford and Broader Impacts Productions.
