RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Burroughs Wellcome Fund is pleased to announce the 2021 Fellows of the Postdoctoral Enrichment Program (PDEP). This program recognizes outstanding underrepresented minority biomedical researchers in the U.S. and Canada.
The Postdoctoral Enrichment Program (PDEP) provides a total of $60,000 over three years to support the career development activities for underrepresented minority postdoctoral fellows in a degree-granting institution in the United States or Canada whose training and professional development are guided by mentors committed to helping them advance to careers in biomedical research.
“Increasing diversity in science through the support of underrepresented postdoctoral fellows in making successful transitions into academia continues to be a high priority investment for the Burroughs Wellcome Fund,” said Director and Chief Strategist for Diversity and STEM Education Alfred M. Mays. “This year’s PDEP grant recipients include a talented group of researchers and future faculty from across the nation who will join BWF’s diversity in science network.”
