Research Triangle Park, N.C. – The Burroughs Wellcome Fund is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2018 Career Awards for Medical Scientists (CAMS). This award is intended to provide dollars for research as well as for protecting time spent for conducting research. CAMS is a highly competitive grant program that provides funding for the transition from postdoctoral position to a tenure track faculty position.
“The complexity of the physician scientist career path has increased as biomedical science has evolved,” said Fund President Dr. John Burris. “These researchers are conducting important research and are a critical element in the connection between patient health and discoveries in the laboratory.”
